I'm abit sad to say that I am actually looking forward to reading about this Astrid (as apposed to reading about her in previous books) :P. I wonder what caused the sudden change...

I think being alone for how-ever-many-months after plague this is set probably contributed to the change, but I doubt it was sudden, you don't go from a religous, intelligent but messed up girl to a pothead with a weapon instantly.

This must be what Michael Grant meant when he said Astrid haters will love her by the end.

I loved astrid in FEAR.
I love Astrid in all of them but..

I realize that I didn't explain myself that clear. It seems kind of sudden for me as a reader but I guess, considering Fear takes place 4 months after Plague, alot probably happened to her during this time, that would explain her 'sudden' transformation. Really curious on the 'what' and 'why' on this though.

new theme song for astrid the pothead genius: Paper Planes by MIA...it goes "I fly like paper get high like planes...." I never thought of that song ever fitting astrid at all. When it says campsites I wonder if it means stefano rae or somewhere near the lake. (If she is near the lake then she is probably hiding from everbody.)

I think she got it from an abandoned house before she actually left Perdido Beach..
