^ It means that MG made the world of GONE. If anything happened in the months that he left out that is significant, then he would have wrote about it. Seeing as he didn't, then not much would have happened in the elapsed time between the books.

I'm saying that obviously something had to happen in between each book to get the characters to the point they are now..it be great to see that development instead of being told about it

Yes, it does. But those activities aren't important enough for MG to mention xD
Things happen, but nothing like 'Drake kills so-and-so'. Small things that move the plot happen, but nothing so great that it needs to be written about.

I'm not talking about Drake. Drake is as one-dimensional as they come.

But the new Astrid in Fear vs the one in Plague...It be great to have seen her development as a character.

And i believe you've read an ARC? there are other character's who prior to FEAR were nowhere the level they are in this book and there is stuff you find out about them in this book when there never had been any hint.

She hasn't changed like 100% but she does come into her own and she does become a better young woman.

I liken Astrid's change sort of like Hermione in HP.
Hermione went from super annoying in the first 1 or 2 movies to an extremely strong woman by the final book....I wouldn't say Astrid's evolution is anywhere as monumental but these are 2 characters with similar traits

I thought that it was Brianna or someone similar, at first; definitely did not expect it to be Astrid though!
Of course, the whole weapon-carrying bit is at least plausible, as (it has been stated many times), the FAYZ changes people. Weapons=self defence=neccesary.
The pot, however...
I think it's good that Astrid's getting this sort of character development, she always struck me as slightly... 'weak' in earlier books.
Who knows, maybe I'll actually like her now! x'D
